Situated on The Cabot Trail we are able to present a varied and fun filled vacation for the family and naturalists in the family with our family of hiking trails in Cape Breton Highlands National Park. The Park is located a few miles from our location. From Port Hastings and the entrance to Cape Breton Island, Laurie's is a 150 km or 2:15 hour relaxing drive along route 19 and The Ceilidh Trail and connecting with The Cabot Trail at Margaree Forks or Margaree Harbor if you travel route 219 along the coast from Dunvegan to the Harbor. Your arrival is always welcomed with a hearty handshake and friendly smiles.
 You may enter the island by air at Sydney Airport that has car rental and limousine service for your convenience. Air Canada and its affiliate Air Nova provides daily flights from New York, Boston, Toronto, Montreal and St. John's, Nfld. with worldwide connections, and scheduled connections within #Atlantic Canada. Also, there is also ferry service from Port-aux-Basques, Newfoundland to North Sydney, a mere 1:30 hour or 140 km drive from Cheticamp and Laurie's
